Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Insurance for Maritime to drive business growth by developing and managing corporate accounts within the maritime industry. This role is ideal for an experienced insurance sales professional with a strong background in selling insurance solutions to shipping companies, vessel owners, manning agencies, logistics providers, and other maritime-related businesses.
The successful candidate must come from an insurance company and have proven experience in corporate business development, client acquisition, and account management for marine insurance products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the company's maritime insurance portfolio.
- Identify, acquire, and manage corporate clients within the maritime industry.
- Promote and sell insurance solutions tailored to shipping companies, vessel owners, operators, manning agencies, freight forwarders, logistics companies, and other maritime organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, brokers, and industry partners.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and risk assessments to recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate insurance programs with prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor industry trends and identify new business opportunities within the maritime sector.
- Consistently achieve business development and revenue targets.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Maritime Studies, or any related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, or Account Management within an insurance company.
- Must have direct experience selling insurance products to corporate maritime companies.
- Strong knowledge of marine insurance products and corporate insurance solutions.
- Experience handling corporate accounts in the shipping, logistics, marine transportation, or maritime industries.
- Proven track record in new business acquisition and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Existing network within the maritime industry is a strong advantage.
- Willing to work on-site in Makati City.
