Purchasing Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team at GJH SERCONS INC. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for supporting our procurement processes and helping to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.
What you'll be doing- Assist the Purchasing Manager in all aspects of the purchasing function, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Research and evaluate new suppliers and products to support the company's strategic objectives
- Provide administrative support to the Purchasing team as needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role
- Relevant experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
- A bachelor's degree in any relevant field
