About the role
EMC Engineering Services is seeking a talented Cost Engineer to join our team in Cavite, Calabarzon. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in the success of our residential construction and fitout projects, providing essential cost estimation and control services.
What you'll be doing- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction and fitout projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to optimise resource allocation and achieve cost efficiencies
- Provide regular cost reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions
- Assist in the development of tender submissions, ensuring competitive pricing and successful bids
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost estimation and control processes within the organisation
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cost Engineer in the residential construction and fitout industry
- Proficient in cost estimation techniques, including quantity surveying, material pricing, and labour productivity analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate cost risks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information effectively
- Familiarity with construction project management software and cost control tools
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
