Job Summary

The Technical Training Officer – Appliances & Technical Support is responsible for developing and delivering training programs related to household appliances and technology products. The role ensures that employees, technicians, or sales staff understand product features, installation procedures, troubleshooting methods, and repair techniques.

The Training Officer will help improve technical knowledge, service quality, and operational efficiency through structured training and hands-on demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for appliances and technology products.
  • Train technicians and staff on product installation, operation, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
  • Conduct hands-on technical training for appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, televisions, and other electronic devices.
  • Create training materials including manuals, presentations, videos, and guides.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through assessments, practical demonstrations, and feedback.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff regarding product issues and service concerns.
  • Stay updated on new appliance technologies, tools, and repair techniques.
  • Coordinate with the technical and service departments to identify training needs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to training programs.
  • Ensure safety procedures and proper handling of electrical appliances during training.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical certification).
  • Proven experience in appliance repair, technical troubleshooting, or service engineering.
  • Experience in conducting training or technical instruction is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of home appliances, electronic systems, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different levels of learners.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working with consumer appliances or electronics companies.
  • Certification in technical training, electronics servicing, or appliance repair.
  • Experience with field service or after-sales technical support.
