THE OPPORTUNITY
Our partner, a leading Australian financial and estate advisers founded in 2008. Their mission is to use their knowledge and experience when helping individuals and businesses through the complex maze of wealth creation, superannuation, personal insurance and risk management.
The team is expanding and looking to hire a Financial Planning Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient financial & administrative services. You will complete documentation on behalf of clients, administer and execute routine client communications, and manage the quality & compliance of internal documentation prepared both in-house and externally.
This role will be fully on-site during probation, and hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days offsite) will be implemented after probation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate the preparation of advice documents (e.g., Statements of Advice, Records of Advice) in line with industry regulations and licensee policies.
- Oversee the implementation of advice, including completing product applications and assisting clients with documentation.
- Liaise with third-party providers (e.g., lawyers, insurers, fund managers) to support client needs.
- Research and compare financial products to support quality recommendations in advice documents.
- Manage deadlines, turnaround times, and client expectations effectively.
- Outsource complex tasks to external paraplanners while ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external paraplanners and administrators.
- Support Financial Advisors with administrative and research tasks, including insurance quotes.
- Provide ongoing client relationship management and team backup support during staff absences.
- Bachelor’s degree in business/finance discipline or related field.
- At least 1 year of working experience in Australian Financial Planning.
- Financial planning, banking or insurance experience to assist with an understanding of delivering advice documents that suit client needs.
- Experience using Xplan or a similar financial planning software is nice to have.
- A Diploma in Financial Planning, or similar is a plus.
