Truck dispatcher

About the role

1. Monitoring and dispatching trucks to assigned delivery routes and schedules
2. Communicating with drivers to ensure on-time arrivals and adherence to safety protocols
3. Coordinating with customers and internal teams to address any delivery issues or delays
4. Maintaining detailed records of truck movements, deliveries, and any incidents
5. Analysing data and generating reports to identify opportunities for process improvements
6. Collaborating with the planning and operations teams to optimise truck utilisation and routes
7. Providing support and guidance to drivers to ensure efficient and safe operations

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar truck dispatching or logistics coordination role
2. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams
4. Proficient in using transportation management systems and data analysis tools
5. Thorough understanding of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and fleet management best practices
6. Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Good organisational and time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
