Senior Accountant
About Us
Kayana is a talent agency connecting Filipino Remote Professionals with global companies that operate within real systems and value disciplined execution. We don't place people in gig work; we partner with organizations building structured teams where accountability, clear communication, and operational excellence aren't slogans; they're how the business actually runs.
When you join Kayana, you don't get a one-off gig. You get a seat.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a remote Senior Accountant (Controller-Level Operator) to work directly with the owner of a multi-unit U.S. restaurant business, taking full ownership of accounting operations during a critical period of recapitalization.
You'll be the single point of accountability for accounting execution, cleaning up financials, maintaining reporting accuracy, and building the financial clarity the business needs to support refinancing and scale beyond it. You'll operate inside Restaurant365, Toast, and the surrounding ops stack, trusted to keep books clean and reporting reliable without anyone looking over your shoulder.
This is not a junior or task-based accounting role. You'll be expected to own outcomes, push back when something doesn't add up, and operate like a controller who happens to work remotely.
If clean books, GAAP-grade accuracy, and reporting that owners actually trust are your craft, keep reading.
What You'll Do

- Reconcile accounts, validate historical data, and correct discrepancies before they compound
- Manage accounts payable, vendor coordination, and transaction accuracy
- Maintain accounting records in Restaurant365 and ensure data integrity across Toast and connected ops tools
