Test Manager

General Role: Oversees and manages the entire testing process, ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Job Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) can be a plus.

Experience:

• Testing Experience: 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of various testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, manual, automated, etc).
• Management Experience: 1+ year of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing testing teams and projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in testing tools (testing tool recommendations).
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, qTest).
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL) is an advantage.
• Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.

Project Management Skills:

• Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, developers, and team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to mentor and motivate team members.

Quality Assurance Focus:

• Deep understanding of quality assurance processes and best practices.
• Ability to develop and implement testing strategies that align with business goals.

• Advanced testing certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Tester, Test Manager Certification).
