About the Role:

eComia is looking for a skilled and proactive Infor A+ Developer to support one of our long-term clients who is a leading U.S.-based powersports distribution company. As part of our delivery team, you will play a key role in maintaining, customizing and enhancing Infor A+ ERP systems running within the IBM i (AS/400) environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in Infor A+ development, who can work within legacy ERP systems while collaborating closely with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance custom programs and modules within the Infor A+ ERP environment.
  • Work with RPG IV / ILE, CL and DDS on the IBM i (AS/400) platform to support ERP functionalities.
  • Customize workflows, reports and interfaces in Infor A+ to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with operations, inventory, sales and finance teams to translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues, resolve data inconsistencies and optimize system performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, data flows and system manuals.
  • Assist in ERP data migrations, upgrades and system integration projects.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives involving automation and ERP optimization.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Infor A+ ERP, including programming, customization and support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RPG (RPGLE/ILE), CLP/CLLE, DDS and DB2 for i.
  • Solid understanding of ERP data structures, especially in distribution, inventory and order management.
  • Experience working within the IBM i (AS/400) ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with ERP integration techniques (e.g., APIs, flat files, or EDI) is a plus.
  • Comfortable with version control, testing frameworks and SDLC practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
