Financial Accountant – Australian Accounting & Payroll
Location: Angeles City, Pampanga, PhilippinesWork Setup: Onsite
Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Philippine Time)
We are a growing Australian accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our onsite team in Angeles City, Pampanga.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical accounting skills, experience working with Australian clients, and the ability to communicate confidently with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare BAS/IAS working papers and assist with Australian GST compliance
- Process Australian payroll, including superannuation and STP requirements
- Conduct peer review of bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting work completed by team members
- Identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data
- Communicate with clients professionally via phone and email regarding accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping matters
- Assist clients with queries and follow up on outstanding information or documentation
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Maintain accurate records and client files in Xero
- Work collaboratively with the Australian and Philippines-based teams
- Minimum 4–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Australian GST and payroll requirements
- Practical working experience with Xero is essential
- Experience working with Australian accounting firms or Australian clients preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to review and check work completed by others
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Confident speaking with clients over phone and email
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Experience with BAS preparation
- Understanding of Australian superannuation and payroll compliance requirements
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using cloud-based accounting systems and practice management software
