• 3 to 5 years of experience in a general ledger (GL) accounting role; experience in senior living or real estate is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices, including GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Yardi is an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial metrics

• Maintain and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
• Ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions
• Monitor journal entries, adjustments, and account reconciliations

• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities and adjusting entries
• Perform variance analyses and investigate financial discrepancies
• Prepare supporting schedules for audits and tax filings

• Conduct performance, cost, and profitability analyses
• Identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Maintain financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions
• Support strategic planning through data-driven financial insights

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
• Stay informed of regulatory and industry changes affecting financial operations
• Identify financial risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities
