FINANCIAL & COMPLIANCE ANALYST

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BA or BS in finance, business management, or similar field.
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in a compliance environment is essential but not required.
  • Knowledgeable of Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) & regulatory frameworks .
  • Critical thinking, data analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail & ability to embrace complexity
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Can work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

DAILY and WEEKLY
  • Raising concerns to the corporate consultant or the management.
  • Submitting documents upon request. ( GIS, ITR & AFS )
MONTHLY
  • Checking of BIR Returns 1601E and 1601C
  • Checking of Alphalist of Purchases (1601E)
  • Checking excise tax return of PEMC Ayungon
  • Reconcile discrepancies in purchases (QB vs. Alphalist)
  • Managing sales and purchases for VAT and Income Tax
  • Approving BKHI eCWT of the Globe portal
  • Checking their monthly Governmental Contributions (SSS, PHIC, HDMF)
QUARTERLY
  • Checking of BIR Returns 1601EQ, 2550Q, 2551, 1701Q, and1702Q -Checking of SLP and SLS of each Corp
  • Checking of Alphalist of Purchases
  • Adjusting expenses, if needed.
ANNUAL
  • Inventory List
  • Furnishing the Formula of Annual Alphalist of Compensation
  • Double Checking the Annual 1604C Alphalist Payroll Drive
  • Checking of the BIR Returns1604E, 1604C, and Alphalist
  • Make a summary of Annual Withholding Tax of each employees for Deduction/Tax refund and send to HR
  • Preparing and Sending the Trial Balance of handled Corps. to the Auditor
  • Making adjustments needed for the Trial Balance before and after sending to the auditor
  • Preparing the reports needed for the AFS (Schedule of AR/AP, Lapsing, and Interest Schedule, Taxes and Licenses)
  • Preparing the certifications of Petty Cash Fund/Revolving Funds and Security Agencies’ certification to tally with each account.
  • Coordinating and Communicating with the Auditor for the ITR and AFS
  • Filing and Compiling of the AFS to be received by the BIR
  • Filing of ITR when needed
  • Checking GIS and GFFS of the Corps we are handling
  • Preparing request letter to the bank for the Bank Certificates of the Loans in each Corp
  • Preparing the CAJE/PAJE of each Corp.
  • Reviewing the final AFS & ITR of BKHI-COOP prep by Angel & Carla.
OTHERS
  • Manages information flow by researching, recording and analyzing data and information. With a regular flow of information and conducting compliance risk assessments, to ensure that the business runs smoothly.
  • To ensure to meet the deadlines of monthly, quarterly and annual Reports.
  • Reviewing and checking hard copy BIR returns and other reports to ensure completeness of attachments.
  • Providing sales to be declared of the Business permit mostly the big companies.
  • Recon for BIR LOA;if any
  • Communication and Meeting with BIR Examiners for LOA
  • Inhouse FS of Corporations upon request
  • Meeting with the Management regarding certain issues
  • Bank Queries regarding the Renewal of Credit Line of Land Movers & PPMRI
