Cashier

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, processing payments, monitoring company funds, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes including cash, checks, deposits, petty cash, and online banking transactions.

• Monitor and verify available funds to ensure sufficient cash flow for daily operations and scheduled payments.
• Prepare and issue checks for approved payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform daily cash balancing and reconciliation to ensure accuracy between physical cash and recorded transactions.
• Process check vouchers and deposit slips accurately and in a timely manner.
• Handle cash and check deposits, ensuring proper documentation and secure bank transactions.
• Process and monitor Internet banking transactions, including transfers and online payments.
• Identify and address bounced checks, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation.
• Manage and monitor petty cash funds, including replenishment and accurate recording of expenses.
• Process credit card transactions and ensure proper recording and reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit daily cash position reports reflecting cash inflows, outflows, and balances.
• Support financial tasks and reporting requirements as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in cash handling, accounting support, or cashiering roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, including check handling and bank reconciliation.
• Familiarity with internet banking platforms and credit card processing systems.
• High level of accuracy and strong numerical skills.
• Honest, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
