The Payroll Officer is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end payroll processes from attendance management, payroll data entry, review, validation and correction, including Time and Attendance System module management for the assigned client/brand.

The role must ensure timely, accurate salary payments in compliance with local employment laws while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

This role also oversees Payroll Specialist and share best practice on handling/ managing

payroll of client/brands in a shared-service setup.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Operational Excellence
  • TIMEKEEPING
○ Validates attendance entries in the payroll system (Great Day HR/SunFish)
  • PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

○ Accurately enlists all new Team Members’ Status (New hires, terminations/

resignations, salary on hold, maternity/ paternity, payroll adjustments, etc.)

○ Follows and implements strict adherence to the deadlines on the payroll processing

table

○ Investigates and responds to all payroll-related queries of Team Members

○ Ensures that all Team Members due for payment are paid accordingly for the month

and also validates Team Members who should not be part of the payout

○ Prepares the employment letters and other documents containing salary information

such as but not limited to the COE, for any pay-related movements and reports,

updates it accordingly in the database and in the system

○ Communicates and updates Team Members on pay-impacting updates

○ Executes other payroll-related processing functions such as leave conversion, bonuses

including Tax Annualization
  • FINAL PAY PROCESSING

○ Monitors return of the computation form the payroll outsourcer

○ Checks correctness of the computation

○ Coordinates with Finance for the payment

○ Attends to all final pay inquiries

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • A degree holder of any Psychology or Business Management Course
  • Well versed in excel and shows keen interest in managing payroll systems
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • With at least 2 years’ worth of experience in Timekeeping and Payroll Management
  • With very keen attention to details and flexibility in working on extended hours
  • Quick learner and is patient in understanding Philippine Labor Laws
  • Strong Communicator
  • Well-versed in Google Space, Microsoft Office and other digital work tools
