Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly competent, legally trained professional to serve as a Legal Virtual Assistant / Contract Manager. This role is designed to handle routine legal workflows, ensuring our client’s Legal Counsel can focus on high-priority strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate acts as the "first line of defense," triaging legal requests, drafting standard documents, and providing interpretation support for a global SaaS leader.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Drafting & Review: Prepare, review, and revise Order Forms, Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements (MNDAs), license agreements, renewals, and amendments.
- Custom Deal Terms: Draft and structure custom deal terms based on specific business requirements and client requests.
- Legal Triage: Manage incoming legal requests regarding contractual matters; provide initial advice on routine items and triage complex issues for escalation to Legal Counsel.
- Interpretation & Support: Support simpler negotiations and answer contract interpretation questions with guidance from senior legal staff.
- Database & Template Management: Maintain and organize template agreements, company policies, corporate records, and internal legal documentation.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies. Licensed lawyers or paralegals with extensive contract experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in contract management, legal drafting, or legal operations. Experience in a SaaS or BPO setting is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM).
- Ability to interpret and draft complex "Order Forms" and "Custom Terms."
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and document productivity software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical logic, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in simple terms.
- Communication: Fluent in written and verbal English, suitable for a global corporate environment.
