Maintenance Supervisor

The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, leads maintenance personnel, minimizes equipment downtime, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure timely repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance work with production and other departments to ensure operational continuity.

• Lead, coach, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
• Assign daily work schedules and monitor task completion.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure all maintenance personnel comply with company policies and safety procedures.

• Analyze equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures.
• Monitor key maintenance performance indicators such as equipment uptime, downtime, MTTR, and MTBF.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements.

• Prepare maintenance schedules and work orders.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and inspection reports.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance reports and recommend equipment replacement or upgrades when necessary.

• Monitor spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate procurement of maintenance materials and equipment.
• Assist in preparing and controlling the maintenance budget.
• Ensure cost-effective utilization of maintenance resources.

• Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage where applicable.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maintenance, equipment reliability, or facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or commercial environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, and industrial automation.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
