Product Owner, AI Development
About This Role
The Product Owner acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and the AI Development team, translating business needs into clear, prioritized user stories that drive development. You will own the product backlog for one or more AI initiatives — whether that's an internal chatbot, an intelligent process automation tool, or a data-driven analytics application.This role requires someone who can understand both the business context and the technical capabilities of the team, ensuring that every sprint delivers measurable value toward Insight's AI transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog; write clear, well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across functions (finance, HR, operations, ecommerce, etc.) to gather requirements and define the product vision for AI initiatives.
- Partner with the Development Manager, Scrum Master, and engineering team to plan sprints and ensure the team is building the right things in the right order.
- Act as the "voice of the user" during development, making scope and priority decisions in real time.
- Participate in all Scrum ceremonies: planning, refinement, review, retrospective, and daily stand-ups.
- Define acceptance criteria and validate completed work against business requirements.
- Track and communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coordinate UAT, deployment, and release activities as needed.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Project Manager.
- Agile: Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; CSPO or equivalent certification preferred.
- Domain Knowledge: Sufficient understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., LLMs, chatbots, data pipelines) to triage technical discussions and guide the team toward the right solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders and translate ambiguous requirements into actionable development work.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; strong presentation and active listening skills.
- Tools: Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management tools.
- Nice to Have: Experience in enterprise technology, SaaS products, or AI transformation programs.
