Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for managing existing client accounts while also proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities. The role ensures strong client relationships, timely delivery of IT services, and continuous account growth through both account management and new client acquisition efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Account Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Manage day-to-day client communication and relationship building
- Receive, document, and clarify client requests (service requests, project needs, support concerns)
- Coordinate with internal delivery/technical teams to ensure timely execution of requirements
- Track and follow up on pending requests to ensure completion within agreed SLAs
- Provide regular status updates, reports, and service summaries to clients
- Ensure high client satisfaction and manage expectations effectively
New Business / Account Growth:
- Proactively identify and source new client accounts and business opportunities
- Conduct market research and lead generation within assigned industry segments
- Engage potential clients through outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events
- Support pre-sales activities including client presentations and solution discussions
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and service offerings for new accounts
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and regularly update sales forecasts
- General Responsibilities:
- Monitor service delivery performance and escalate issues when needed
- Support contract renewals, billing coordination, and account administration
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
- 2–5 years experience in Account Management, IT Sales, Business Development, or Client Services in an ICT/IT environment
- Experience in handling enterprise clients is preferred
- Exposure to IT solutions, staffing, or consulting services is an advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business development and client acquisition skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and pipeline management abilities
- Ability to manage both existing accounts and new leads simultaneously
- Understanding of IT services, solutions, or consulting models
- Proactive, self-driven, and target-oriented mindset
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Candidate must be willing to do on-site work (1x a week remote work)
