Position Title: Independent Chief Financial Advisor
  • Assist in development and implementation of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the corporation's global objectives, considering factors such as market dynamics, regulatory environments, and currency fluctuations.
  • Aid in conducting financial analysis and scenario modeling to assess the impact of expansion initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships on corporate financial performance.
  • Reinforce collaboration with corporate leadership to establish financial targets, performance metrics, and KPIs for operations, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Advise on management of cash flow, liquidity, and foreign exchange risk to optimize capital allocation and mitigate financial volatility across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
  • Facilitate in evaluation and overseeing of international banking relationships, treasury operations, and cash management strategies to ensure efficient fund utilization and liquidity management.
  • Support in implementation of hedging strategies and financial instruments to hedge against currency risk and protect the corporation's financial interests.
  • Further ensure compliance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), regulatory requirements, and tax laws across all subsidiaries and operations.
  • Assist in overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for international entities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance.
  • Aid in evaluation of investment opportunities, capital allocation decisions, and strategic investments in international markets, assessing risk-adjusted returns and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Provide advice on financial analysis and due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures in international markets, identifying potential synergies, risks, and value creation opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing the corporation's capital structure, exploring various financing options, and refining the investment portfolio to bolster shareholder value and align with long-term growth objectives.
  • Communicate financial performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives to corporate leadership, board members, and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial matters, providing strategic guidance, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Trains two (2) Filipino Understudies relative to the above functions.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must hold a master’s degree in Accountancy or in Business Administration (“MBA”);
  • At least 10 years of corporate finance or accounting experience;
  • At least 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry;
  • At least 5 years management experience;
  • Not covered by any non-compete or non-disclosure agreements of direct competitors;
  • A bachelor’s degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or Business;
  • Proven ability to manage and direct forecasting and budgeting;
  • Strong and diverse knowledge of global and local accounting rules;
  • Superior business acumen and strong leadership and negotiation skills;
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently and with other leaders in the organization;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; and
  • Ability to analyze highly complex matters, apply sound judgment, and provide solutions.
