Purchasing Officer (AU Construction, Hybrid)
Location: Mega Tower, Mandaluyong City
Salary: P30,000-P34,0000
Schedule: Monday- Friday (8:00 AM-5:00 PM PHT)
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to support project delivery through efficient procurement and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate has strong experience in construction or project‑based purchasing, understands Australian procurement requirements, and can work independently in a remote environment while supporting an Australian-based team.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a Purchasing Officer / Procurement role, preferably within construction, engineering, or project environments
- Strong understanding of:
- Australian procurement practices
- Purchase order and supplier management processes
- Proven experience managing:
- Purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Supplier quotations, pricing comparisons, and contract terms
- High proficiency in:
- ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, MYOB, or similar)
- Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup while coordinating closely with an Australian team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple purchase requests simultaneously while meeting deadlines and compliance standards
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to:
- Local Government or council procurement requirements
- Supplier contracts and compliance documentation
- ISO certification processes (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Experience working with SharePoint or document control systems
- Support procurement and purchasing activities across multiple projects
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company and client requirements
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and conduct cost and value comparisons
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure timely material and service delivery
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and pricing registers
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with Australian standards, company policies, and project requirements
- Work within internal systems (ERP, Excel trackers, SharePoint) to support reporting and cost control
- Assist with supplier performance monitoring and continuous procurement improvement
