About the role
Styrotech Corporation is seeking a talented and dedicated IT Technical Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in Meycauayan City, Bulacan. As a full-time IT Technical Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and effective technical support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.
What you'll be doing- Provide frontline support for all hardware-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary. Setup, configure and deploy IT hardware for new users and office moves.
- Maintain inventory of hardware assets and ensure proper documentation or hardware changes.
- Performance routine maintenance and hardware upgrades to extend equipment life.
- Work closely with software support teams to ensure end-to-end troubleshooting.
- Liase with vendors and service providers for hardware support, warranties and returns.
- Assist in enforcing, IT asset management policies and security protocols for physical equipment.
- Track support tickets and resolutions, using the organization's ITSM/ticketing system.
- Support imaging and re-imaging of machines, data backups, and data migrations during hardware replacement.
- Escalate unresolved issue to appropriate technical teams or third-level support.
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved and document solutions for future reference.
- Maintain knowledge base and documentation for common issues and solutions.
- Participate in onboarding/offboarding tasks (i.e. setting up accounts, configuring devices).
- Maintain compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
- At least one (1) year of experience in an IT technical support role, preferably in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Proficient in the use of common operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Relevant technical certifications or diplomas in IT or a related field would be an advantage.
