Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and adherence to accounting standards. This role involves supervising accounting staff, managing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
• Review and verify financial documents and reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements.
• Ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded and documented.
• Manage account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA) preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in accounting or finance
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
