Cadet Engineer - Manufacturing Supervisor Trainee

OVERALL MANDATES:

• Oversee the Production Operation to be able to meet customer requirements.
• Involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes.
• Ensure that goods and services are safe, produced efficiently and minimizing production cost with high level of quality.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Involvement in production Planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes.
• Coordination with the manufacturing manager, and procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies necessary for uninterrupted production.
• Facilitate collaboration between production teams and other departments such as quality control, RPD, engineering and sales, to ensure product specifications and customer requirements are met.
• Update the daily production schedule base on running requirements and review manning compliment per production line, on daily basis.
• Investigate and coordinate with maintenance team and update Production Manager regarding equipment malfunctions or production issues to minimize downtime that may affect production operations.
• Ensure that all prerequisite programs are implemented and being followed accordingly.
• Ensure that the manufacturing function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

• Manage and lead the Production team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize production efficiency and productivity.
• Develops and maintains an efficient production workforce through adequate training, coaching, counseling and open lines of communications to uplift employee morale and optimize productivity.
• Perform regular performance evaluations of production staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions or develop plans.

• Preparation of daily shift schedule, monitoring and verification of OEE and Productivity report on daily basis.
• Prepare and submit Weekly Reports such as OEE, Manning Schedule, and Weekly Productivity Report to the Production Manager.
• Responsible for ensuring the closure rate of action items (CAPA) related to Food Safety and Quality is on progress.
• Coordinates with the HRD and Agency coordinator with regards to the daily and total manpower.
• Coordinates with Facility Maintenance with regards to repair schedule of production area.
• Coordinate with Safety Officer with regards to safety concern of the production personnel.
• Update and revise production procedure such as, guidelines, one point lesson, standard sanitation operating procedure, cleaning and sanitation checklist and production forms.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of BS INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING / MANUFACTURING RELATED course with experience in Supervising/Managing production operations in a food manufacturing firm.
2. Knowledge in ISO Standards
3. Skilled in production planning and production line management
4. Good working knowledge of food safety and quality management systems
5. Above-average leadership and communication skills
6. Team-player, results-oriented and highly motivated
7. Ability to listen and influence
8. Ability to summarize information and communicate effectively
