ROLE PURPOSE:
Provide strategic analysis of the transactions, processes, policies, systems and documentation related to taxation particularly on matters of compliance, reporting, BIR registration, and securing BIR permits and tax clearances. The role also formulates favorable arguments, justifications, and determines all applicable supporting documentation in defense of the client on BIR tax findings and exposures.The role also determines the strategic steps to take to protest BIR assessments and secure favorable BIR rulings which includes the preparation of the draft protest related critical schedules and reconciliations, and other pieces of evidence in support of the client’s position.
It also includes the implementation of the project and the coordination and accomplishment of required tasks with the different business units of the clients and their respective eternal auditors and lawyers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs Tax Accounting (computation of monthly and year-end corporate income tax and Tax Modeling (long-term tax model and its effect to the company’s overall financial model
- Spearheads Tax programs: Optional Standard Deduction
- Cost of Services, Income Tax Holiday Application
- Water Supply and Wastewater Projects
- Provides assistance to subsidiaries and other operating units on national taxes (VAT, withholding taxes, DST, FBT, Final Taxes)
- Facilitates Tax Learning Session
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experienced in tax assurance, advisory and/or compliance services
- Experienced in managing people and proven track record in networking and collaboration
