Internal Controls and Compliance Analyst
The role
As an Internal Controls and Compliance Analyst at Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.Based in Makati City, Metro Manila, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's commitment to robust financial governance and risk management. This role is going to be on a hybrid work setup, for a 2-day onsite and mid shift schedule (2 pm-11 pm).
Key responsibilities- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the company's internal control systems to identify potential weaknesses or areas for improvement
- Monitor compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the organisation
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate financial and operational risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and enhance existing processes and controls
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the regulatory environment and best practices in internal controls and compliance
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in internal controls, compliance, or audit, preferably in a professional services or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements, US GAAP, and the ability to analyze financial statements and related disclosures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team
