Internal Controls and Compliance Analyst

The role

Based in Makati City, Metro Manila, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's commitment to robust financial governance and risk management. This role is going to be on a hybrid work setup, for a 2-day onsite and mid shift schedule (2 pm-11 pm).

1. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the company's internal control systems to identify potential weaknesses or areas for improvement
2. Monitor compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the organisation
3. Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate financial and operational risks
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and enhance existing processes and controls
5. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters
6. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management to support decision-making and continuous improvement
7. Stay up-to-date with changes in the regulatory environment and best practices in internal controls and compliance

1. Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. At least 3-5 years of experience in internal controls, compliance, or audit, preferably in a professional services or financial services environment
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
4. Strong working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements, US GAAP, and the ability to analyze financial statements and related disclosures
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
6. Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
8. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team
