OVERALL MANDATES

The MPIC Supervisor is responsible for the integrated management of production planning execution and inventory control activities to support smooth manufacturing operations. The role ensures accurate production scheduling, material availability, inventory monitoring, and coordination between planning, warehouse, procurement, and production teams.

The MPIC Supervisor plays a key operational role in balancing production requirements with inventory levels while minimizing shortages, overstocking, and manufacturing disruptions.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as a central coordination point between commercial demand requirements and manufacturing execution.
  • Develop detailed, realistic production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and available plant capacity.
  • Assess machinery, labor, and resource constraints to maximize utilization and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Actively track raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, inventory auditing, and reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.
  • Focuses on schedule preparation, materials planning, inventory monitoring, and planning data accuracy while coordinating closely with manufacturing, warehouse, and procurement teams.
  • Monitor inventory movements and stock levels and prevent material shortages and production interruptions
  • Timely coordination of schedule adjustments and replenishment requirements
  • Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure timely ordering and arrival of raw materials, reducing delays.
  • Coordinate with sales, production, quality, and logistics departments to meet customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices in manufacturing strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance, including establishment of relevant KPI’s.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations
  • Experience in food, confectionery, or FMCG manufacturing preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices and production scheduling
  • Good working knowledge of food safety and quality management systems
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Above-average leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to summarize information and communicate effectively
