Quezon City - QS/Site Engineer

Job Summary:The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. They aim to minimize project costs and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality.

The Site Engineer oversees the technical aspects of construction projects on-site. They ensure work is executed as per design, quality standards, and within budget and timelines. Site Engineers liaise with designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
• · Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses.
• · Measure quantities using standard methods
• · Track variations, change orders, and valuations.
• · Prepare interim and final payments for subcontractors and contractors.
• · Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control.
• · Assist in contract administration and dispute resolution.
• · Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• · Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
• · Prepare detailed progress and financial reports.
• · Supervise and monitor on-site construction activities.
• · Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• · Ensure work is executed according to design and technical standards.
• · Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• · Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• · Maintain site records including daily logs, inspection reports, and progress reports.
• · Resolve technical issues and provide solutions on-site.
• · Ensure health and safety compliance at all times.
• · Support in material take-offs and requisition.
• · Participate in progress meetings and report updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• · Minimum 2 years of experience in site engineering or supervision.
• · Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• · Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools and quantity surveying software
• · Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• · Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• · Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
