Civil Engineer (Cebu)
The Civil/Site Engineer takes the role of Junior- Project in Charge. Assigned for the overall execution of the project site, from operation works, execution, including site administrative managements, with guidance from assigned senior Project Engineer or manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Project Manager, who has the ultimate responsibility for both the quality of deliverable and effective execution of project assignments.
Responsible for coordination and controlling of all technical activities and works at site.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and acceptable best engineering practices.
Implement standard quality control procedures to ensure acceptance of works.
Check field engineering, safety conduct and value engineering.
Interface with various engineers, designers, contractor and suppliers including local government unit.
Ensure proper documentations of constructions which include permits, test reports and others.
Prepares material requisitions and monitoring of all materials at site.
Interpretation of drawing/plans and proper delegation to contractors and workers at site.
Provide engineering take-offs and estimates for various material requirements and perform material controls.
Prepares and submit weekly project status report, petty cash expenses, and evaluation of contractors billing.
Attend project coordination site meeting with PM head, contractors, architects, designers, and/or consultants.
Perform any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Key Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, licensed is a plus.
- Experience: Entry level-newly graduate, with experience is a plus.
- Special Skills: Microsoft Office, MS Powerpoint, Autocad and drawing.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and estimates.
