Job Description
- Perform actuarial, underwriting, and financial modeling for value-based healthcare contracts
- Analyze premium loads, claims experience, utilization trends, and financial risk
- Develop monthly forecasts, variance analysis, and performance dashboards
- Support reconciliation and audit of payer and employer value-based arrangements
- Identify underpayments, compliance gaps, and adverse payment trends
- Translate complex actuarial and claims data into actionable business insights
- Support contract performance reviews and negotiation analysis
- Conduct ad-hoc scenario modeling as program data and assumptions evolve
High-impact actuarial work supporting value-based healthcare modelsExposure to complex payer, employer, and claims data environments
Successful Healthcare Actuarial Finance Analyst- Experience in actuarial work, healthcare finance, medical economics, or managed care analytics
- Strong background in underwriting, claims analysis, and risk-based modeling
- Experience working with value-based care or risk-sharing payment models
- Advanced Excel financial modeling and forecasting skills
- SQL experience working with large healthcare or insurance datasets
- Understanding of healthcare operations, compliance, and payer contracts
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
