JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seeks vendors that offer a combination of quality products and services at an acceptable price level, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Reviews proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Visits vendors to assess their capability when necessary.
- Oversees the purchase of materials to fill the needs of those orders that are based upon forecasted requirements through purchase orders.
- Recommends approval of new supplier for accreditation.
- Monitors/reviews performance of suppliers.
- Coordinates with suppliers for any issues, concerns or improvement opportunities.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates.
- Graduate of any four-year business course
- Preferably with at least three (2) years' experience in the same field
- Must be computer literate
- Negotiating skills
- Resourceful
