Analytics Procurement Officer

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent will also mentor junior team members and champion a data-centric approach within the procurement organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the timely and accurate collection of procurement data from various source systems and ERPs.
• Oversee the transformation and cleansing of raw data into formats suitable for analysis.
• Develop and implement methodologies for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics in procurement.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and visualizations to communicate procurement spend, trends, and insights.
• Analyze procurement data to identify savings opportunities, supplier segmentation, sourcing potential, and supply risk.

• Manage and maintain business intelligence tools and visualization dashboards for procurement data.
• Develop and automate recurring procurement reports and analytical processes.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data integrity and system integration for procurement analytics.
• Provide support and training to the procurement team and other stakeholders on utilizing analytics tools and reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to data collection, analysis methodologies, and reporting capabilities.

• Partner with strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement operations teams to understand their analytical needs.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver relevant insights.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to procurement leadership and other stakeholders.
• Support business users across the company with reporting needs related to their purchases through P2P systems.
• Provide guidance on cost and budget control through Purchase Order management based on data analysis.

• Identify and lead initiatives to automate repetitive tasks within the procurement process using analytical insights.
• Assist with the documentation and development/updating of department processes, policies, and systems related to procurement analytics.

Contribute to the development of training materials and company-wide communication for procurement analytics.

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least three (3) years of proven experience in a similar role focused on procurement data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data collection methodologies and the generation of comprehensive procurement reports.
• Possesses first-hand experience in interpreting procurement data, conducting spend and trend analysis, and formulating data-driven recommendations and strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in using Google Suite (e.g., Sheets, Slides, Docs).
• Preferably with experience working in or with Spend Management and Expense Platforms/Tools.
• Preferably with experience in using Birchstreet System and SAP.
• At least three (3) years of experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and guiding team members.
