Join Our Team as a Senior Procurement Officer!

We’re seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, build strong supplier partnerships, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services across our mining sites and Head Office. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic, operations-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead procurement for critical and high-value items, from sourcing and supplier evaluation to negotiation and contract execution.
• Review and analyze purchase requests to ensure alignment with business priorities and strategic sourcing objectives.
• Build and maintain a qualified, reliable supplier network through structured vetting and accreditation processes.
• Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and evaluations, ensuring top-notch quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Use SAP Business One to manage procurement workflows, track purchases, and generate insightful reports.
• Negotiate best-value terms with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and service excellence.
• Coordinate with inventory, finance, logistics, and end-users to align procurement activities with operational schedules.
• Resolve supplier and delivery issues proactively to minimize operational disruptions.
• Present procurement updates and strategic insights to leadership to support data-driven decisions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management, including 2+ years in a mid-senior level role.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and implementing procurement strategies.
• Experience in high-demand industries like mining, manufacturing, or construction is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One, and strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or ISM are a plus.
