Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Associate

A detail-oriented and proactive AML Compliance Associate familiar with Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) investigations, AML reporting, training, and record keeping. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the organization from financial crime risks by ensuring compliance with all applicable AML laws, conducting risk-based investigations, and maintaining a strong internal compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for onboarding employees to ensure comprehensive understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) protocols
- Oversee the annual training and role-based training sessions to guarantee that staff members are fully informed of their responsibilities, as well as educated on AML regulations, updates ,and best practices.
- Perform reviews of existing AML files, evaluation and presentations and updating any outdated information to maintain current and accurate records.
- Manage and update AML reporting forms, while also monitoring and reviewing advisories to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor and investigate Covered and Suspicious Transactions, ensuring that all findings are reported in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit AML reports and requested transaction reports to relevant regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
- Observe, measure, and report on the organization's risk associated with suspicious or fraudulent financial activities to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer relationships requiring compliance review, ensuring that Due Diligence (DD) and Know Your Customer (KYC)n information align with established KYC procedures and AML policies.
- Update all necessary KYC forms related to AML compliance to enhance reliability and accuracy.
- Review new onboarding players, providing compliance guidance to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and reviews of customer accounts and transactions to identify individuals who may be classified as high risk.
- Perform through checks and reviews of individuals and entities against sanctioned and restricted person lists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and review risk clarification processes, including the verification of customer identification, source of funds, and other pertinent information.
- Review and update customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Monitor high-risk customers under Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and recommend them Reduced Due Diligence (RDD) as appropriate.
- Conduct reviews of internal barred players to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitor Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) lists to identify and manage potential risks associated with high-profile individuals.
