Overview
We are looking for an experienced BI Reporting Associate Manager to lead reporting initiatives, drive data-driven decision-making, and support business improvement efforts. This role is responsible for developing insightful reports and dashboards, ensuring data quality, managing reporting operations, and leading a team to deliver accurate and timely business intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the execution of reporting strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and manage business improvement and reporting-related projects.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Produce accurate, timely, and actionable reports to support business decisions.
- Ensure reporting processes comply with internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reporting audits to maintain data accuracy.
- Provide analytical support by interpreting business data and presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve reporting-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop statistical models and reporting controls to improve operational efficiency and reduce business risks.
- Support complex reporting requests and escalations.
- Maintain reporting documentation, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor reporting performance and recommend process improvements.
- Lead daily team operations, prioritize workload, and ensure timely delivery of reporting outputs.
- Coach and mentor team members while identifying training and development opportunities.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and communication within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analytics, or a similar role.
- Experience leading or managing a reporting or analytics team.
Strong experience with:
- Power BI
- SQL
- SAS Base
- SAS Enterprise Guide (EG)
- Tableau
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills.
- Strong SQL development and query optimization experience.
- Experience working with data warehouses, data marts, or OLAP cubes.
- Knowledge of Report Builder or similar reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Presentation and data storytelling skills.
- Leadership, coaching, and team management experience.
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or related industry.
- Understanding of reporting governance, compliance, and operational controls.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with business process improvement and continuous improvement practices.
