Job Description

Conduct daily checks of imaging equipment, perform tube warm-ups, machine cleaning, and set up the X-ray room with all necessary equipment
Responsible for the proper use of company systems and PACS, including Emedcore and Lifesys
Obtain consent and appropriate history taking from patients prior performing the procedure
Prepare and ensure proper positioning of patient during x-ray examination
Explain the procedure to the patient and politely answer their questions to alleviate concerns
Adhere to all safety protocols (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
Operate X-ray machine to produce high quality diagnostic images
Ensure that patients are being attended to in a timely manner
Collaborate with Radiologists and other specialists / requesting physicians to interpret patients’ result
Maintain accurate medical records, secure proper handling of patient information, and exercise discretion when storing and emailing patient results
Double-check patient results before sending them out and ensure they are released within the required turnaround time
Report any technical issues, machine malfunctions and data breach to Chief Radiologic Technologist
Complies with requirements for license renewal and other mandatory regulations
Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications/Requirements

Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology
Must have valid PRC license (RRT or RXT)
Preferably knowledgeable with radiation safety protocols
Strong understanding with imaging protocol positioning and techniques
Strong understanding with anatomy, pathology, and other medical terminologies
Basic knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Computer Proficient
Proficient in operating x-ray machines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Flexible and amenable to work in shifting schedule
Ability to lift and position patients as required
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Positive team player and displays a strong work ethic
Compassionate and sincerely dedicated to assisting patients
