Engineer (Civil Engineer) - Job Order - Manila

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Civil Engineer will be assigned under the Office of the Undersecretary for Railways and is responsible for the following:

1. Assists senior technical specialists in the daily site monitoring and safety management, evaluation of General Consultant activities, reporting on progress of deliverables and updating on important issues/concerns/variations on site;
2. Assists technical specialists in providing technical input and supports in reviewing detailed designs;
3. Reports necessary changes/modifications to Contract/Work Package Manager, such as: Engineering plans/designs in coordination with Infrastructure Design Division; Quality Control/Quality Assurance of equipment , materials and methods to be used in construction;
4. Assists in the following tasks: Preparation of documents and reports for unhampered implementation of contract packages and compliance to reporting requirements; Ensuring that project components are according to plan and standards (on-time, on-specs, on-budget, on-benefit, on-safeguard, on-quality and on-safety); Resolving issues aligned with Risk Management protocols;
5. Coordinates, collaborates and interfaces with other PMO units, DOTr, general consultant, third party contractors, LGUs and other stakeholders through proactive, timely communication, meetings/discussions and written correspondence in order to build and maintain smooth relationships and synergy between and amongst stakeholders;
6. Performs other tasks relative to the position as may be assigned from time to time.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Must be a Registered Civil Engineer
• No minimum required work experience for Engineer entry-level position / 1 year of relevant experience for Level II position
• No minimum required training for Engineer entry-level position / 4 hours of relevant training for Level II position
• Candidate must be willing to be assigned/travel to different locations as necessary (Pampanga and Manila)
