POSITION: MEP SITE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of MEP Site Engineer - Electrical is to oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical system and equipment on site. This includes control, monitoring, reporting of electrical activities on site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review of electrical (low voltage & extra low voltage) shop drawings and method statement.
- Preparing monthly and weekly schedule for MEP work.
- Preparing weekly & monthly actual site progress reports and documentation.
- Able to lead and arrange toolbox meetings with MEP Sub-contractors
- Coordinate electrical installation with CSA contractors and other mechanical works sub-contractors.
- Conduct internal site inspections with sub-contractors, SFTE-JV QAQC to ensure all electrical installations are in compliance with the project specifications, electrical standards and regulations.
- Arrange and coordinate official site inspection with SFTE-JV QAQC and the Engineer (GC) to ensure all MEP works installation and testing are approved and accepted by the Engineers (GC).
- Able to coordinate with the MEP Construction Manager and provide solutions for any electrical installation issues on site.
- Ensuring all MEP activities are in compliance with site safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform other duties from time to time as assigned by the superiors
- At least 30 years old
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering course
- With minimum 3-5 years experienced as MEP / Electrical Site Engineer in Building / Infrastructure projects (Previous experience in railway project is an advantage)
- Previous experience in a Japanese company is an advantage.
- Technical Expertise - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and equipment.
- Communication - Effective communication with sub-contractor, architects and clients.
- Project Management - Able to analyze construction schedules, material & manpower resources
- Safety awareness - Familiar with construction safety protocols and regulations.
- Computer Proficiency - Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel (Microsoft Project is an advantage)
