Network Operations Engineer Tier 1 - Manila

Key Responsibilities:

• This role is based on a shift work 24 x 7 Network Operations Center. The Network Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and configuration of all interTouch partnered hotels and clients.

Job Description and Coverage:

• Remote management and 24/7 monitoring of Global Network Operations
• Ensure that all tickets reported by automation or users assigned to NOC ticketing queue are being responded and resolved according to SLA and priority following the established procedures and processes
• Ensure that the tickets assigned are being updated up to resolution
• Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of thehotel network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot hotels' network issues
• Identify and rectify network infrastructure bottlenecks
• Perform root cause analysis
• Perform network maintenance and upgrade as needed while ensuring a minimum disruption on the production network
• Collaborate with local support engineers for on-site assistance
• Provide assistance to Technical Support's query and escalation
• Communicate and respond to hotel IT/personnel via email and phone calls
• Communicate with Level 3 for assistance and/or escalation
• Ensure that hotel's monitored network devices are secured from any attack and vulnerability
• Perform server patching
• Ensure that the hotel brand standard is being implemented
• Ensure to be updated with hotel brand and company product standards, process and procedures
• Perform UAT with local support engineers and make sure it will pass the 3rd party audit
• Ensure that all supported hotels' network devices is being properly monitored by NOC's network monitoring system
• Ensure that the hotel network device information is accurate in Alameda
• Work on special tasks assigned by NOC leaders
• Other tasks/functions that may be assigned by the company as per business requirement; these may change from time to time to reflect the changing requirement of your position and our business

Desirable Qualifications & Competencies:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related courses
• 2 years solid experience in helpdesk and/or technical support
• Linux certification or demonstrated proficiency/understanding
• Cisco CCNA certification or demonstrated proficiency/understanding of contemporary networking principles and security philosophies
• Network Hardware:
• Switches: Cisco, HP, Ruckus Brocade, Aruba, H3C, Cisco Meraki
• Wireless Controller: Ruckus, Motorola, Huawei, Cisco Meraki
• Firewall: Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, sonicwall
• Network Protocols/Technologies: TCP/IP, VLAN, NAT, STP, IPv4, SNMP
• Server administration (Linux/Windows)
• An uderstanding of IP addressing schemes
• Solid understanding of OSI layer
• Must have good oral and written communication skills (English)
• Experienced managing multiple service issues concurrently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to accurately interpret technical testing information and analyze data to independently and collaboratively resolve problems and incidents
• Independent problem solver and analytical skills, self-motivated and conscientious
• A team player with willingness to learn and excel
• Certification: CCNA, JNCIA, CMNO, ITIL, CompTIA+ is a plus
