Paralegal (1 Year Contract)

The Paralegal will assist Legal counsels in all aspects of preparation and management of legal activities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent research, drafting, organizational, and communication skills. Aim to minimize the risk of contracts entered by the FPI by communicating with internal departments (e.g. Sales, Business unit, corporate function), and Legal.

The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of contract law, an eye for commercial detail, and the agility to coordinate across fast-moving sales environments.

Provide any support to the legal counsels as instructed, including:

Drafting and Reviewing Contracts:

  • Prepare and draft Legal documents and contracts as well as internal documents, meeting minutes and briefs. Draft, review, and revise agreements, including MSAs, service contracts, amendments.
  • Create and proofread sales presentations, proposals and contracts/letters, ensuring all legal terms are accurate and compliant.

Legal Risk Assessment:

  • Flag potential legal issues or non-standard clauses that could expose the company to risk.
  • Identify contract risks, redline proposed terms, and suggest alternatives.
  • Assist Sales and Pre-sales in the bid preparation, review and finalization of the proposal
Communication Support and others
  • Communicate with internal department, such as Sales, Business unit, Corporate function to gather information, provide updates, and schedule meetings.
  • Understand external counsel and legal counsel advice to internal department and convey it to the client.
  • Support the internal department to take action following legal advice.
  • Educate both sales and pre-sales teams on legal aspects or services, enhancing their ability to communicate value propositions effectively
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation./
  • Trial Preparation: Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions, including organizing exhibits and evidence.

Template Management:

  • Maintain and update contract templates to reflect current legal and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain contract templates and assist with version control.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of contract-focused paralegal experience, with strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.

  • Contract Drafting & Review: Ability to prepare, redline, and interpret commercial agreements.
  • Legal Research & Analysis: Skilled in researching statutes, case law, and regulatory requirements relevant to commercial transactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing legal language, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for liaising with the clients and external counsel.
  • Time & Task Management: Capable of juggling multiple contract requests and meeting tight deadlines.
