Demand Planner

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving demand forecasts to support efficient inventory, procurement, and supply chain operations. This role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to translate market demand into accurate, actionable plans that ensure high service levels while optimizing inventory investment.

This position plays a critical role in enabling Häfele Philippines Inc.’s growth by ensuring product availability, improving forecast accuracy, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage rolling demand forecasts by product category, channel, and time horizon (short, mid, and long term).
• Analyze historical sales, promotions, new product launches, and market trends to improve forecast accuracy.
• Lead regular demand review sessions with Sales and key stakeholders to validate assumptions and align on forecast adjustments.
• Monitor forecast performance and continuously improve forecast accuracy using statistical and business intelligence inputs.

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to incorporate promotions, campaigns, and new product introductions into demand plans.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure demand plans translate into executable supply and inventory plans.
• Act as the single source of truth for demand assumptions used in supply and inventory planning.

• Support inventory optimization by balancing service level targets with inventory investment.
• Identify potential risks related to overstock, slow‑moving items, or potential stock‑outs and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide inputs to replenishment planning and procurement decisions based on forecast insights.

• Prepare regular demand planning reports, including forecast accuracy, demand variance analysis, and key planning risks.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and planning tools to improve transparency and decision‑making.
• Provide scenario analysis and “what‑if” simulations to support management decisions.

• Continuously improve demand planning processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
• Support system enhancements, master data quality initiatives, and planning standardization.
• Ensure demand planning practices align with company policies, audit requirements, and continuous improvement goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems and planning tools is an advantage.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience in a distribution, trading, or fast‑moving consumer / technical products environment is a plus.
