Short-Form Video Editor / Motion Graphics Editor

Work Shift: Flexible, with overlap preferred during US working hours
Working Hours: Part-time (~20 hours per week), with strong potential to expand to full-time
Rate: $8–$12 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a Short-Form Video Editor / Motion Graphics Editor to produce high-volume short-form content for social media, marketing campaigns, and client projects. This role is focused on creating vertical video content for platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, and other social channels.
This is an execution-focused role. The editor will work from creative briefs, content libraries, and long-form footage to produce a consistent stream of short-form videos each week. Some projects require strict adherence to brand guidelines, while others allow more creative flexibility, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in both structured and open-ended environments.
The successful candidate should be able to balance speed and quality, create multiple variations from the same content, and use captions, graphics, and motion effects when needed. Strong motion graphics skills are a plus, but the ability to produce clean, high-volume edits reliably is equally important.
This role will begin part-time, but content demand is expected to grow quickly, with a strong possibility of moving to full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
Short-Form Video Production- Create vertical short-form videos for social media and marketing campaigns
- Edit content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, and similar platforms
- Produce multiple edits per week based on creative briefs and provided content
- Create variations of the same video using different hooks, captions, or cuts
- Follow short-form structure such as hook body CTA
- Deliver consistent output while maintaining quality
- Edit videos from raw clips, content libraries, or long-form footage
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips
- Add captions, overlays, graphics, and visual effects when required
- Use motion graphics where needed to enhance visual quality
- Maintain clean, readable edits that support performance content
- Organize files and maintain a clear editing workflow
- Follow creative briefs and brand guidelines when provided
- Adapt to both strict brand requirements and open-ended creative tasks
- Suggest edits, variations, or improvements when appropriate
- Balance simple, high-volume edits with more complex graphic-heavy content
- Communicate expected editing capacity based on hours available
- Manage assigned tasks independently and deliver work on schedule
- Maintain organized folders and file structures
- Work closely with the Creative Lead to review and refine content
- Support a repeatable workflow that allows consistent weekly output
Qualifications:
Required- Proven experience editing short-form video content for social media or marketing
- Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar editing tools
- Ability to produce multiple videos per week with consistent quality
- Experience working from creative briefs and content libraries
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and short-form storytelling
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Able to manage part-time workload with potential to scale to full-time
- Experience with After Effects, Apple Motion, or other motion graphics tools
- Experience creating high-volume short-form content
- Experience editing for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or paid social campaigns
- Ability to create both simple caption-based edits and graphic-heavy edits
- Experience repurposing long-form content into short-form clips
- Familiarity with AI editing tools is a plus but not required
