Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and equipment at project sites. The role involves conducting site inspections, preparing technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and coordinating with other departments to ensure safe and efficient electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical plans, diagrams, and technical specifications based on project requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., PEC, IEC, IEEE).
• Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), cost estimates, and project timelines.

• Supervise and monitor electrical works at site — from rough-ins to final energization.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.
• Inspect installations and systems to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

• Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems (e.g., lighting, power, grounding, fire alarm, etc.).
• Document results and provide reports to Project Manager and Client.

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend solutions.

• Ensure implementation of safety practices related to electrical works.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements, including permits and inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) — preferred but not always required
• At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in construction, building services, or industrial projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and safety regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to be assigned to project sites, including provincial locations
