We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused Banquet Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating banquet and events revenue by securing corporate, social, government, and private functions while ensuring exceptional guest service from inquiry to event completion.

The Banquet Sales Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations, ensuring all event requirements are properly coordinated and executed to deliver memorable guest experiences while achieving the hotel's revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development
  • Generate banquet sales through active prospecting, client visits, networking, referrals, and lead generation.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual banquet revenue targets.
  • Develop new corporate accounts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Promote hotel banquet facilities for weddings, birthdays, debuts, conferences, seminars, corporate meetings, product launches, and other special events.
  • Identify new market opportunities and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Prepare competitive quotations, proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Negotiate pricing within approved guidelines while maximizing profitability.
Client Relationship Management
  • Respond promptly to inquiries through phone calls, emails, walk-ins, and online channels.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and facility tours for prospective clients.
  • Understand clients' event objectives and recommend suitable function spaces, packages, and services.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Resolve client concerns professionally before, during, and after events.
Event Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with Banquet Operations, Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments.
  • Ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are complete, accurate, and distributed on time.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings to communicate client requirements.
  • Monitor event execution to ensure commitments are fulfilled.
  • Handle last-minute requests and operational changes efficiently.
Revenue Management
  • Maximize banquet revenues through upselling food, beverage, decorations, audiovisual equipment, accommodations, and other hotel services.
  • Monitor banquet revenue performance and sales pipeline.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports.
  • Maintain accurate client records using CRM or hotel sales systems.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies regarding contracts, payments, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Finance regarding billing, and account settlements.
Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitors' banquet offerings, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences.
  • Recommend new banquet packages and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in banquet sales, event sales, hotel sales, or hospitality sales.
  • Experience in a hotel, resort, convention center, or events venue is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong network of corporate accounts and event organizers is an advantage.
