Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a premier international provider of high-quality food products. Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the General Trade channel and drive sales growth, profitability, and customer expansion across the frozen meat portfolio.

This role is based in Mandaluyong City, with a full onsite work arrangement. The work schedule is 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (compressed).

Role Overview
  • The Sales Manager leads the company's commercial activities across its Food Service, Trade (wholesalers and wet markets), and Processor channels, driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and account expansion for the frozen meat portfolio. This role is responsible for sales strategy, target setting, pricing discipline, customer concentration and credit management, and the development of a high-performing sales team. The position works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to convert inventory into profitable and sustainable customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Target Management
  • Develop and execute channel-level sales plans, volume targets, and profitability objectives.
  • Drive growth across Food Service, Trade, and Processor channels while maintaining a balanced and profitable customer mix.
  • Identify market opportunities and formulate strategies to expand market penetration.
  • Account & Pipeline Management
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key accounts and strategic customers.
  • Manage customer concentration risk and drive new business acquisition.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline from prospecting to account conversion and retention.
  • Pricing & Margin Management
  • Establish pricing strategies and promotional programs in coordination with Finance.
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and commercial terms to ensure profitability amid changing market conditions and landed costs.
  • Recommend pricing actions based on market dynamics and competitive intelligence.
  • Credit & Collections Management
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to ensure adherence to credit terms and collection targets.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and proactively manage credit risks.
  • Take appropriate actions on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Sales Agents and Sales Coordinators to achieve business objectives.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, performance management, and customer focus.
  • Promote disciplined sales processes and effective CRM utilization.
  • Market Intelligence & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, customer trends, and supply availability.
  • Provide market insights to support commercial and supply chain decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure service excellence and inventory optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience with people management responsibilities, preferably in food, FMCG, meat and protein, or distribution industries.
  • Strong background in key account management, pricing strategy, negotiations, and sales leadership.
  • Solid understanding of distribution economics, credit management, and channel dynamics in the Philippine market.
  • Goal-oriented, resilient, and willing to engage in extensive field work.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
