Mid-Level Automation Engineer)- Hybrid

Schedule: Monday - Friday (9 am - 6 pm PH time)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

• Proven experience in a QA role with strong manual testing fundamentals.
• Experience testing web applications (experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and jQuery environments is a plus).
• Hands-on API testing experience, ideally using Postman.
• Exposure to automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber) or a strong desire to build automation skills.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Xray, TestRail).
• Programming experience with Java or similar
• Experience using BDD
• Performance testing knowledge would also be useful

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of web applications to identify defects, usability issues, and functional inconsistencies.
• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Test and validate web applications built in ASP.NET WebForms and jQuery environments.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to verify integrations, data accuracy, and system functionality.
• Log, track, and manage software defects using tools such as Jira, Xray, or TestRail.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and test estimations.
• Support or contribute to test automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and regression testing efficiency.
• Apply BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) practices to improve collaboration and ensure clear acceptance criteria.
• Utilize Java or similar programming languages to support automation scripting and testing activities.
• Assist in performance and load testing activities to identify application bottlenecks and scalability concerns.
• Ensure software releases meet quality standards, functional requirements, and user expectations prior to deployment.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and automation practices.
