Job Description

The Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records by managing daily accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations.

This role also serves as a financial internal auditor, helping strengthen internal controls and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record, monitor, and process daily financial transactions accurately and on time.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Review and verify accounting documents, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct financial internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Review and reconcile daily sales reports and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
  • Process and monitor payroll for McDonald's employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll computation.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax-related documents and ensure compliance with government regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve accounting concerns.
  • Perform other accounting, auditing, and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with BIR regulations and other government compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
  • Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
