SharePoint AE (Application Engineer)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled SharePoint Application Engineer (AE) to design, develop, and support SharePoint Online solutions that drive collaboration, document management, and business process automation. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

• SharePoint Development & Administration
• Configure and manage SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and permissions
• Develop solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps, and Power Automate
• Customize SharePoint pages, web parts, and workflows
• Support administration and continuous platform enhancements
• Content Management & Governance
• Maintain and organize SharePoint content for accessibility and usability
• Implement governance policies (security, retention, compliance)
• Manage document lifecycle, metadata, and version control
• Ensure alignment with enterprise branding and governance standards
• Business Process Enablement
• Analyze and document business processes and workflows
• Redesign and automate workflows using Microsoft 365 tools
• Build automation solutions via Power Automate
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaboration & Portal Enablement
• Develop and manage SharePoint portals and collaboration sites
• Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and M365 services
• Enhance collaboration across internal and external stakeholders
• Improve user experience and platform usability
• Testing & Deployment Support
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Assist in deployments, hypercare, and post-go-live support
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with technical teams
• Stakeholder & Change Management
• Gather and validate business requirements
• Prepare user documentation, training materials, and communications
• Support adoption and change management initiatives
• Provide end-user support and knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in SharePoint Online (Modern Experience)
• Hands-on experience with:
• SharePoint Framework (SPFx) (React/TypeScript preferred)
• Power Apps & Power Automate
• Microsoft Teams integration
• Knowledge of SharePoint governance, security, and document management
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 ecosystem

• Business process mapping and workflow design
• Experience in enterprise or digital transformation environments
• Exposure to collaboration portals and ECM solutions

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work in cross-functional, global teams

• 5–10 years of experience in SharePoint / Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Experience in enterprise transformation programs is an advantage

• SharePoint migration (On-Prem to Online) experience
• Knowledge of compliance, retention, and information security standards
• Experience with Power BI, Azure Logic Apps, and Microsoft Purview

• SharePoint sites, portals, and collaboration workspaces
• Automated workflows using Power Platform
• Documentation (process flows, governance, UAT, technical specs)
