KMC Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable department by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, handling vendor correspondence, and performing essential administrative tasks.

Working under the guidance of the AP Manager, you will help ensure the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Processing
  • Assist in entering invoices into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and verify receipt of goods or services.
  • Prepare invoices for approval and payment processing.
  • Assist in preparing vendor payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
Mail and Document Management
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming accounts payable correspondence.
  • Prepare and send outgoing mail, including vendor payments and communications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate routing of all AP-related documents.
Record Keeping and Administration
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files for invoices, payments, and vendor records.
  • Ensure all AP documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
  • Keep vendor information, contact details, and W-9 forms updated.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data within accounting systems.
Team Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Payable team.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address routine inquiries and resolve basic issues.
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives within the AP function.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Retail industry is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including 10-key by touch and a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
