Cashier

Job Description

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate cash registers, scanners, POS systems, and other necessary equipment
• Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns professionally or refer to a supervisor
• Ensure pricing is accurate and assist in managing price checks when needed
• Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
• Support restocking, inventory tagging, and general store upkeep as needed
• Comply with all store policies, procedures, and security guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a cashier or retail position is an advantage
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle transactions quickly and accurately
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Trustworthy, reliable, and customer-focused
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
