JOB OVERVIEW:

As an IT Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure within the iSlot machine studio. Your role will involve ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of the network infrastructure, as well as supporting the organization's communication and connectivity needs.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot network issues, optimize network performance, and implement new network solutions. Your technical expertise in network engineering and strong problem-solving skills will contribute to a stable and efficient network environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, topologies, architectures, and technologies.
  • Experience with network administration in Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking vendors.
  • Familiarity with network security principles, including access controls, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in network environments.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are highly desirable

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Network Design and Implementation:
Design and implement network architecture, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to meet business requirements and best practices.
Configure and deploy network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring proper connectivity and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and technologies into the network infrastructure.
  1. Network Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Proactively monitor network performance, identify network issues, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Conduct network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues.
Perform root cause analysis of network incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  1. Network Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain network security measures, including access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Monitor network traffic for security threats, investigate security incidents, and implement appropriate security controls.
Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  1. Network Performance Optimization:
Monitor network performance metrics, such as bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss, and take proactive measures to optimize network performance.
Conduct network capacity planning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and resources to meet current and future needs.
Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network configurations and protocols for improved performance.
  1. Network Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Generate regular reports on network performance, availability, and security to stakeholders and management.
Provide recommendations for network improvements and upgrades based on analysis and assessment.
  1. Network Infrastructure Upgrades and Projects:
Participate in network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, software licenses, and support contracts.
Test and evaluate new network technologies and solutions for potential implementation.
  1. Vendor Management and Collaboration:
Collaborate with network equipment vendors, service providers, and external partners to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Communicate and coordinate with vendors for procurement, support, and service-level agreements.

Stay updated on the latest network technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for improvements and future-proofing.
